Job summary

Evara Ireland is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor to provide hands-on health and safety support across Evara Construction projects and operating locations. The role offers autonomy on routine and complex site matters, advising project teams and contractors, and supporting the Senior Safety Manager and Construction Manager in driving consistent standards.

You will lead risk assessments, inspections, incident investigations and safety reporting, while developing and improving safety management

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of relevant health and safety experience in construction or multi-site environments.
• Diploma, degree or higher qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction health and safety requirements, risk management and contractor control.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication, influencing and report-writing skills; able to challenge unsafe practices professionally.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for site health and safety matters across projects and locations.
• Engage with operational teams, contractors and service providers to influence safety culture and performance.
• Review risk assessments, method statements, inspections and audit findings; implement corrective actions.
• Plan and conduct site inspections and audits, and close out actions promptly.
• Provide practical advice on safe systems of work, construction risks and compliance expectations.
• Support investigations into incidents and near-misses and identify root causes.
• Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings and targeted awareness initiatives.
• Prepare monthly safety reports and highlight trends, gaps and improvement opportunities.
