Job summary

IQVIA is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to lead the development of analytic datasets and longitudinal analyses for observational oncology studies using real-world data (claims, EHR, labs).

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of experience in observational research with PharMetrics Plus, Flatiron, or Tempus and strong R programming skills, with excellent communication and project management abilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Data Science or related field required.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience if Master’s; PhD with 3 years acceptable.
• Strong track record of RWD analysis using claims, EMR, and lab data (Tempus, Flatiron or PharMetrics Plus preferred).
• Experience in oncology data and safety outcomes is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of analytic datasets through raw data processing and data checks/cleaning from claims, EHR, and lab data.
• Characterize patient populations, build cohorts, and define key variables for study objectives.
• Perform analyses with methods for censoring, confounding, and missing data; QC results.
• Collaborate with epidemiologists to define descriptive and complex statistics for longitudinal/survival/regression analyses in oncology RWD studies.
• Develop and QC study documents including protocols, SAPs, and manuscripts using RWD (claims/EHR).
• Communicate timelines, progress, and results to the project team and stakeholders.
• Provide technical, programming, and statistical expertise to bring complex study solutions.
