Job summary

Roughan O’Donovan is seeking a senior resident engineer for a 24-month fixed-term contract on the N25 Rosslare Europort Access Road in Rosslare, Co. Wexford.

You will lead the site team, supervise construction of 1.45 km of road, and oversee a rail over bridge and underpasses in a busy civil project. The role requires a degree in engineering and at least eight years’ post-graduate experience, including PW-CF3 contract administration and railway exposure, with excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering (Level 8 qualification or equivalent).
• Minimum eight years’ post-graduate experience as senior resident engineer on road/bridge projects.
• Experience with PW-CF3 contract forms.
• Site-based experience on road projects ≥ €3 million.
• Experience supervising railway environments.
• Strong written and spoken English abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site-based team and supervise the construction of 1.45 km of road works and related features.
• Review contractor submissions, including method statements and temporary traffic management plans.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, administrative procedures and QA/QC.
• Liaise with stakeholders, utility providers and design teams.
• Maintain daily site records, witness testing and close-out of non-conformances.
