Job summary

Barden is partnering with a growing organisation in Dublin to hire a Senior Risk Manager on a permanent basis. The role strengthens governance, embeds risk frameworks and drives a proactive compliance culture across the organisation.

Engagement with senior leadership and board-level stakeholders is a key aspect, with responsibility for a programme of risk tools, training workshops and reporting to the Board.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years experience in similar risk management roles.
• Track record of implementing risk/compliance programmes.
• Strong understanding of risk frameworks and compliance processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a programme of risk management tools and materials.
• Partner with the business to help managers make well-informed decisions in pursuit of strategic objectives.
• Design and deliver risk management training workshops across all levels of the organisation.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to Board and Executive Team reporting, including preparation of Board and Committee papers.
• Maintain and enhance knowledge of evolving risk practices and frameworks through networking and continuous learning.
• Support risk incident management and breach reporting in line with the Incident Management Procedure.

This role will play a key role in strengthening governance, embedding risk frameworks, and driving a proactive compliance culture across the organisation. The position will also involve regular engagement with senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Develop and implement a programme of risk management tools and materials appropriate to the scale and needs of the business.


• Partner with the business to help managers make well-informed, calculated decisions in pursuit of strategic objectives.


• Design and deliver risk management training workshops across all levels of the organisation, educating decision-makers on risk awareness.


• Contribute to identifying emerging risks and opportunities.


• Contribute to Board and Executive Team reporting, including preparation of Board and Committee papers.


• Maintain and enhance knowledge of evolving risk practices and frameworks through networking and continuous learning.


• Support risk incident management and breach reporting in line with the Incident Management Procedure.

The ideal background will include:

• 6-10 years experience in similar Risk Management type roles.


• A track record of developing, implementing, and embedding risk and/or compliance programmes, with evidence of ongoing process improvement and the ability to adapt to changing organisational needs.


• Strong understanding of risk frameworks and compliance processes


• Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills
