Job summary

AECOM is recruiting a Senior Risk Consultant to join our growing Integrated Programme Controls team. You will implement and advise on Risk Management solutions for major infrastructure projects across diverse sectors, engaging with senior stakeholders and clients.

Based in our Ireland/UK operations with hybrid working, you will develop risk exposure assessments, govern risk processes, and support decision making. You will mentor staff and contribute to robust risk registers and mitigation plans.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in risk management with 2+ years on high-value projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or recognized risk qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM).
• Experience in multi-discipline project environments.
• Proficient with industry risk tools ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict.
• Experience in QCRA/QSRA using Safran, Primavera Risk Analyser, @risk.
• ISO31000 / IRM / APM risk frameworks knowledge.
• Willingness to travel and work across sectors.
• People management and facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management.

Responsibilities

• Engage with project teams to implement risk management.
• Provide risk input to bids and proposals to secure work.
• Conduct risk assurance checks for project risk management.
• Communicate risk data to senior leaders.
• Produce risk reports to inform decisions.
• Coach and mentor staff in risk best practice.
• Support identification and prioritisation of risks.
• Develop Risk Registers, Management Plans, and Mitigation Plans.
• Conduct QCRA and QSRA for contingencies.
• Design risk management frameworks for projects.
• Support cost, scheduling, and change management teams.
