Job summary

AECOM in Ireland seeks a Senior Consultant - Environmental Compliance & Permitting to join a specialist team supporting clients across pharmaceutical, manufacturing, technology, energy and process industries. Based in Dublin, Cork or Belfast with hybrid working.

You will lead licensing, auditing and regulatory projects, prepare submissions, identify risks and mentor junior staff while liaising with the EPA and authorities. This role offers cross‑sector exposure and European opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in industrial or consultancy environments.
• Proven track record in environmental licensing and compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of Irish and European environmental legislation.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental compliance, permitting and regulatory projects.
• Undertake audits, gap assessments, site inspections and legislative reviews.
• Identify risks and develop corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submissions.
• Manage projects including scope, programme, budget, quality and client communication.
• Liaise with EPA and other authorities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Support proposals and business development.
• Keep up to date with legislation in Ireland and Europe.
