Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Consultant to deliver environmental licensing and permitting services for Ireland-based clients across pharma, manufacturing, technology and energy sectors. The role offers a hybrid work model with offices in Dublin, Cork and Belfast, and opportunities to lead projects, conduct audits and advise on regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in industrial or consultancy environments.
• Proven track record in environmental licensing and compliance services.
• Extensive knowledge of Irish and European environmental legislation.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver environmental compliance and permitting projects for Ireland clients.
• Undertake audits, gap assessments and regulatory reviews.
• Identify risks and develop corrective actions and improvement plans.
• Prepare and review technical reports and regulatory submissions (e.g., EI licenses).
• Manage projects including scope, programme, budget and client communication.
• Liaise with clients, the EPA and other authorities on permitting matters.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to proposals and business development.
• Stay updated on environmental legislation and best practices.
