Job summary

PartnerRe is seeking a Senior Reserving Actuary to oversee non-life reserving operations in Ireland. You will lead reserving execution, support data and reporting, and maintain a robust control environment under the Head of Non-Life Reserving Operations.

This role offers exposure to global teams and strong governance. You will collaborate with actuarial, finance and IT colleagues, drive process development, enhance data quality, and provide guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications

• Actuarial reserving and operations experience is required.
• Strong governance and controls understanding.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Dashboarding and reporting for reserving function experience.
• Operational delivery or coordination experience.
• Database and data system familiarity.
• Experience with ResQ is advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the reserving process, including quarter-close cycles and Deep Dive related activities.
• Coordinate data preparation and transformation and system uploads.
• Assist in coordinating operational activities and resolving issues, escalating where appropriate.
• Support operation of the Non-Life Reserving Platform and related tools.
• Maintain templates, workflows, and configurations.
• Develop new processes and capabilities within the team.
• Ensure change control, testing, and releases are managed.
• Support data quality controls and data issue resolution.
• Coordinate with actuarial, Finance, and IT teams and escalate as needed.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and support day-to-day prioritisation.
