Job summary

Partner Company in Ireland seeks a Senior Software Engineer - Reliability, Infrastructure, and Tooling to build scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure for real-time and AI workloads. You will work with production code, design highly reliable systems, and help product teams self-serve platform capabilities at global scale.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating non-trivial production applications.
• Extensive Kubernetes experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux internals and networking.
• Proven ability with observability, monitoring, and logging.
• Experience with large-scale, globally distributed systems.
• Incident response and durable corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Ramp up on a complex global architecture with distributed databases, messaging, networking, Kubernetes and core platform tech.
• Design and ship reliability-focused work in production codebases, incl. load balancing, instrumentation, and efficiency improvements.
• Build and evolve internal infrastructure and tooling to empower product teams to operate reliable workloads.
• Partner with product teams to co-design reliable, secure and maintainable systems.
• Develop observability signals, dashboards, and visualization to measure system behavior.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive incident investigation, remediation and prevention.
• Investigate cross-system problems in distributed infrastructure and production environments.
• Improve configuration management and reduce technical debt across diverse systems.
• Contribute to architectural discussions to support short-term delivery and long-term scalability.
• Support workloads like real-time media, secure compute, and highly concurrent services.
• Collaborate on reliability decisions with clear, pragmatic judgement.
• Automate repetitive operations to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
