Job summary

Rent the Runway in Galway invites a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure, observability, and developer tooling. You will drive automation, build scalable services, and own end-to-end reliability initiatives with the Platform Engineering team.

The role requires 5+ years in orchestration and cloud environments, strong Terraform/Helm/Ansible skills, and on-call readiness. It offers hybrid work with 2–3 days in Galway, Ireland, plus remote options and a rich benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5 years hands-on orchestration with Kubernetes.
• CI/CD enthusiasm for cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Helm or Ansible.
• Monitoring with Splunk or GCP Monitoring.
• 5+ years software development in Bash, Python, Golang or Java.
• Experience in production cloud environments (GCP/AWS/Azure).
• Agile development experience.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration.
• On-call rotation willingness.

Responsibilities

• Utilise configuration as code (Terraform, Python, Helm) and Docker/Kubernetes to drive reliability.
• Implement observability, alerting, tracing, automation, and self-healing capabilities.
• Coordinate across platforms; identify, respond and report issues; escalate for remediation.
• Develop maintenance and operations automation through CI/CD.
