Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team on a permanent remote basis from Ireland. You will design, build and operate scalable production systems with a focus on reliability, observability, and security, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure resilient infrastructure.

You will implement automation to reduce toil, monitor and alert effectively, and perform postmortems to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Bash scripting with automation experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/UNIX administration and debugging.
• Hands-on production-scale software and infrastructure experience.
• Infrastructure-as-code principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production systems with scalability, reliability, observability and security focus.
• Develop automation to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency across environments.
• Monitor production systems, implement intelligent alerting, and automate incident response to minimise downtime.
• Create incident runbooks and perform postmortems to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with software teams to resolve infrastructural bottlenecks and improve deployment workflows.
• Manage and optimize monitoring infrastructure for complete visibility.
