Job summary

Approved Housing Bodies Regulatory Authority in Dublin seeks a Senior Regulatory Manager to lead complex regulatory assessments, oversee compliance monitoring, and drive improvements across the AHB sector. You will prepare reports and brief senior management while advising colleagues and regulated entities with independence and rigor.

Responsibilities include coordinating across divisions, delivering evidence-based decisions, and supporting policy development within a flexible hybrid work

Qualifications

• A relevant third-level qualification (min Level 7 NFQ) or professional regulation-related credential.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in regulation, governance, audit, inspection, finance or compliance.
• Strong analytical skills to interrogate complex data and deliver evidence-based insights.
• Report writing experience with clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to engage senior stakeholders.
• Leadership and project-management capabilities (desirable).
• Line management experience in large or complex organisations (desirable).

Job description

• Join AHBRA, Ireland’s independent regulator for Approved Housing Bodies, safeguarding tenants and public investment through effective risk-based regulation.
• Be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary Regulatory Assurance team committed to quality, continuous improvement and sector sustainability.
• Work from a modern city centre office near Merrion Square, Dublin 2, easily accessible with blended working policy (up to 3 days remote per week).

About Your New Job

As a Senior Regulatory Manager, you will:

• Lead complex regulatory assessments and ensure robust, evidence-based decisions across the AHB sector.
• Oversee compliance monitoring, evaluate progress and recommend regulatory responses.
• Promote consistency and quality across the assessment programme, supporting continuous improvement of regulatory methodologies.
• Prepare high-quality reports, recommendations, and briefing material for senior management.
• Provide technical advice to colleagues and build constructive relationships with regulated entities while maintaining independence.
• Work closely across regulatory divisions to deliver coordinated regulatory outcomes and contribute to organisational projects and policy development.

What Skills You Need
