Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Senior Refrigeration Engineer in County Cork for a well-established company serving the catering, refrigeration and bakery equipment sector across the Greater Munster Area.

You will perform maintenance, repair and preventive maintenance on a broad range of equipment, provide on-site diagnostics and fault-finding, and oversee servicing, installation and handover of projects, liaising directly with clients to ensure timely, professional service.

Qualifications

• Full qualification to City & Guilds standards.
• F-Gas Certification.
• Full clean driving license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of refrigeration and catering equipment.
• Provide on-site diagnostic and fault-finding support to achieve first-time resolution.
• Manage servicing, installation, commissioning, and handover of equipment.
• Liaise with clients to ensure timely, professional service delivery across the Greater Munster Area.

About Your New Job

• As the Senior Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance of a broad range of refrigeration and catering equipment.
• You will provide on-site diagnostic and fault-finding support, aiming for first-time resolution and excellent customer satisfaction.
• You will manage the servicing, installation, commissioning, and handover of equipment, working both independently and as part of a team.
• You will liaise directly with clients, ensuring timely and professional service delivery across the Greater Munster Area.

What Skills You Need

• Experience working on all types of refrigeration & catering equipment
• Excellent diagnostic, fault-finding, planning, and coordination skills
• Strong administrative capabilities and both oral and written communication skills
• Fully IT literate with PCs, laptops, and smart devices
• Full qualification to City & Guilds standards, F-Gas Certification, and a full clean driving license
