Job summary

Supermacs Ireland is seeking a Refrigeration & Catering Equipment Technician to service and maintain catering equipment across the Connacht & Midlands region. This hands-on, day-based role covers repair, installation, and preventive maintenance with a focus on reliability and customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in refrigeration and catering equipment, excellent communication skills, and a full clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience with refrigeration and catering equipment servicing/maintenance.
• Hands-on, proven track record with strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Accurate record-keeping and logs, with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and solve problems on Catering & Refrigeration equipment.
• Repair and maintenance of fridges, freezers, ice-cream machines and cold displays.
• Install and service refrigeration and catering equipment.
• Complete jobs fully with a positive can-do attitude.
• Collaborate with team; maintain good working relationships.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on catering equipment.
• Inspect equipment for wear and perform minor repairs and adjustments.
• Maintain inventories and handle equipment storage and setup.
• Hold a full clean driving licence and travel as required.
• Adhere to standards and procedures; ensure others comply.

The role will involve but not limited to:

This is a hands-on, day-based maintenance role working with catering and refrigeration equipment, plus general maintenance for Connacht and Midlands area.

The Refrigeration/Catering equipment Technician will be responsible for the repair and upkeep of all our equipment on an ongoing basis. If you have a strong background in commercial refrigeration, this is an excellent opportunity to join a like-minded Team focused on professional growth and innovation. The position involves travel and emergency response to breakdowns.

YOUR PROFILE

Supermacs Ireland are seeking a motivated and reliable hands-on person with a proven track record, who will possess excellent oral and written communications skills. He/She will be suitably qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience and a good working knowledge of refrigeration and catering equipment, servicing and maintenance. The suitable candidate will be a hands-on person with a proven track record, and will possess excellent oral and written communications skills. Accurate record keeping and logs are a must so strong attention to detail required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Trouble shooting and problem solving of Catering & Refrigeration equipment
• Repair and maintenance of various catering equipment including fridges, freezers, ice-cream machines and cold displays etc
• Install & service of refrigeration & catering equipment.
• Commitment to completing jobs fully, with a positive can-do attitude
• Flexible and approachable, with excellent teamworking abilities
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all Catering equipment
• Inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain inventories of equipment, storing and retrieving items and assembling and disassembling equipment as necessary.
• Must have a full clean driving license
• Must be flexible, able to work on all various catering equipment.
• Must abide by all standards and procedures and ensure others do likewise
• Maintaining strong standards, working with the Service Manager and Store Managers

Working with fellow management and staff to build positive interpersonal relationships and motivate with personal contact
