Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer - Embedded Software to advance embedded software for the ADEF & COMMS business unit.

You will design high‑performance real‑time embedded applications, develop drivers and APIs, and collaborate across distributed teams to deliver secure, reliable software for advanced data converters and communication ASICs. You will mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and ensure documentation and testing meet the highest standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years designing, developing and launching high performance, high‑reliability real‑time embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ development and debug skills.
• Experience developing customer‑facing C/C++ APIs and SDKs.
• Experience with hardware abstraction layers (HAL) and register‑level device control.
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex architectures.
• Experience in real time embedded systems, both bare metal and RTOS.
• Proficiency with Git and code review processes.
• Experience with continuous integration/automated testing.
• Knowledge of software QA best practices and DSP techniques.
• Experience with agile methodologies and strong communication skills.
• Experience with JESD204B/C interfaces and RF/mixed‑signal systems.
• Experience with FPGA integration and Python scripting for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high performance real‑time embedded applications on ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers in C.
• Develop customer facing device drivers in C and C# for high speed converters and COMM products.
• Interact with distributed teams to develop software, resolve bugs, and gather requirements.
• Create documentation to support embedded firmware design and communicate concepts inside/outside the team.
• Participate in code reviews and improve software standards and guidelines.
• Develop and execute unit and integration test plans.
• Develop and review tools used for testing and interfacing with the product.
• Analyze test results and implement corrective actions.
• Provide customer support during Beta trials and post release.
• Develop customer facing documentation and training material as required.
• Comply with licensing, code origin control and documentation, and mentor junior teammates.
