Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Embedded Software for its Ireland-based Software and Digital Platforms Group, with travel up to 10%.

You will design and develop high-performance real-time embedded software for ADEF & COMMS products on ARM Cortex-M, collaborating with dispersed teams and mentoring junior engineers. You will contribute to customer-facing APIs, device drivers, and testing, ensuring security, reliability and quality across the product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing, developing and launching high-performance, real-time embedded systems.
• Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills.
• Experience developing customer-facing C/C++ APIs and SDKs.
• Experience with HAL and register-level device control.
• Strong knowledge of ARM Cortex architectures.
• Experience in real-time embedded systems with RTOS.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop real-time embedded applications on ARM Cortex-M in C.
• Create and maintain device drivers for high-speed converters and COMM products.
• Collaborate daily with geographically distributed Silicon Designers, Embedded Software Engineers and QA.
• Create documentation to support firmware design and communicate concepts.
• Participate in code reviews and improve software standards.
• Develop and execute unit and integration test plans.
• Develop tools for testing and interfacing with the product.
• Analyze test results and implement corrective actions.
• Provide support during Beta trials and post-release.
