Job summary

Analog Devices, Cork, Ireland, is seeking an Embedded Software Architect to lead the software vision for Datacenters & Energy. You will define architectures and develop real-time embedded systems for power management in datacenters, working with cross-functional teams to balance performance, security, and reliability.

The role requires deep expertise in embedded software architecture, hardware interface interpretation, and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years of experience in full software development lifecycle.
10+ years architecting and designing complex embedded software systems.
Ability to read and understand hardware schematics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in Agile teams using Git branching/merging.
Experience designing signal processing chains in software and understanding performance/latency trade-offs.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements for complex power-management systems in datacenters.
Create robust, extensible, scalable architectures to address identified requirements.
Choose platforms, frameworks and tools that fit system requirements.
Architect high-performance real-time embedded software balancing engineering goals with real-world constraints.
Produce documentation supporting architecture definitions (diagrams, data flow, logic).
Mentor team members and drive software development process improvements, including AI adoption.
