Job summary

Vertiv is seeking an Estimator in Ireland to support our bid and quotation processes. Reporting to the Bid Strategy Manager, you will collaborate with sales, contractors, consultants and internal teams to develop accurate quotations for electrical switchgear and power distribution projects.

You will review tender documents, perform material take-offs, and prepare technical documentation while managing multiple quotes to meet deadlines and ensure compliant, high-quality submissions.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum exposure in a Sales / Quotation support role ideally within a Manufacturing/Engineering setting with experience gained in liaison with Contractors or Consulting Engineers.
• Or hold a related HND/Degree in Engineering/Business coupled with 1 year’s exposure in a Sales / Quotations support role, ideally within a Manufacturing/Engineering setting with experience gained in liaison with Contractors or Consulting Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate technical quotations and material take-offs for electrical switchgear and power distribution projects.
• Review tender documentation, specifications and drawings to develop compliant and competitive proposals.
• Liaise with sales teams, contractors, consultants and customers to deliver high-quality quotation solutions.
• Coordinate with internal engineering and product teams to produce complete bid submissions.
• Prepare technical documentation, layout drawings and supporting commercial information.
• Manage multiple quotations, ensuring deadlines and customer requirements are met.
• Process pricing, approvals and quotation records using company systems.
• Support project handovers and manage variation/change order quotations where required.
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with company procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and bid quality.
