Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in construction, engineering or electrical contracting.
• Previous experience in a Senior Electrical Estimator position.
• Strong experience within Power, Renewables or Energy Infrastructure.
• Experience with HV substations, wind farms or similar power infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and Employer's Requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project risk.
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or developing junior estimating staff.

Responsibilities

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join a growing team in Dublin, working across the Power, Renewables and Electrical Infrastructure sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious estimator to take a key role in delivering high-value electrical projects while progressing towards a broader technical, commercial and leadership position.

The Role:

You'll be responsible for managing the estimating and tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission and successful project handover.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing detailed electrical estimates and accurate quantity take-offs
• Reviewing Electrical Technical Specifications and Employer's Requirements
• Estimating HV substations, wind farms and renewable energy projects
• Managing and coordinating the tendering process across multiple departments
• Managing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Preparing inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, assumptions and programmes
• Reviewing drawings and tender documentation to identify scope and commercial risks
• Managing multiple tenders while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
• Identifying project risks, commercial exposures and potential cost impacts
• Supporting post-tender meetings and negotiations
• Ensuring a comprehensive handover of successful tenders to the project and construction teams
• Providing technical and commercial guidance to junior estimators
• Contributing to the development of estimating processes and best practice

About You:

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with:

• 5+ years' experience within construction, engineering or electrical contracting
• Previous experience in a Senior Electrical Estimator position
• Strong experience within Power, Renewables or Energy Infrastructure
• Experience with HV substations, wind farms or similar power infrastructure
