Job summary

Coffey is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support Water sector projects. Location options include Athenry, Maynooth or Rathcormac with hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home).

You will join a commercial team to drive project cost control, reporting and value delivery. You will manage budgets, procure subcontractors, handle valuations and final accounts, administer contracts, and identify risks for complex, high-value infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying is required.
• 7+ years’ relevant experience in civil engineering or commercial building construction.
• Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills including cost estimation and cost control.
• Good knowledge of Main Contract Conditions and contract administration.
• Experience with Candy Estimating System and IFS is desirable.
• SCSI Chartered status or working towards Chartership is desirable, not essential.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
• Authorised to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or critical skills visa).

The Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Commercial Manager and take responsibility for commercial and financial management across your project. You will manage subcontractors, monitor costs, deliver accurate financial reporting and help ensure commercial success.
