Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost control for multidisciplinary railway projects. You will manage a team of Intermediate Quantity Surveyors, prepare feasibility and final design cost estimates, and ensure payments align with contracts.

The role requires 10 years of experience with transport infrastructure, a degree in engineering or cost management, and strong knowledge of contract documents and measurement standards.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying roles.
• Minimum 3+ years in transport infrastructure focusing on multidisciplinary railway projects.
• Knowledge of contract documents, drawings and specifications.
• Experience in a consultancy environment or with a client/contractor.
• Familiarity with cost estimation techniques and BoQ development.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of feasibility, preliminary design and final design cost estimates for multidisciplinary railway projects.
• Assess on- and off-site materials, monthly payment certificates and final accounts, and monitor costs with contractual entitlement in mind.
• Undertake or review measurement of designs and on-site works.
• Develop the schedule of rates or Bill of Quantities.
