Job summary

Rent a Recruiter is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in Ireland, with opportunities in Limerick and Galway. The role focuses on delivering full cost management services across a diverse portfolio of major construction and infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Significant post-graduate experience in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management.
• Experience on medium to large-scale construction/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Experience with cost planning, procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Excellent commercial and analytical skills; strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide full Quantity Surveying and cost management services across a range of projects.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and financial reports.
• Manage project costs through design and construction phases.
• Prepare and review tender documentation and assist with procurement.
• Analyse tenders and provide commercial recommendations.
• Monitor project expenditure, cash flow and financial performance.
• Manage variations, claims, valuations and final accounts.
• Prepare and review contractual and commercial documentation.
• Provide commercial advice to clients and project teams.
• Support contract administration and dispute avoidance/resolution.
