Job summary

ProSource Group is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Limerick-based commercial team. The role offers ownership of major projects, exposure to diverse sectors in Ireland and the UK, and clear progression within a growing contractor.

The successful candidate will lead commercial management from start to finish, mentor junior staff, and contribute to cost control and reporting. A degree in QS and 6+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within a main contractor or subcontractor environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and contract administration experience.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Experience using industry-standard commercial software is desirable.
• Chartered status or a desire to achieve professional accreditation is advantageous.
• Ambitious individual looking to progress within a growing contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of construction projects from commencement through to final account.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and package awards.
• Prepare and assess valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, cashflow forecasts, and monthly commercial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and design teams to achieve commercial objectives.
• Identify commercial risks and implement effective cost control measures.
• Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.
