Job summary
Global Professional Consultants in Ireland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management and commercial delivery on diverse residential, retail, educational and civic projects. You will oversee the QS function across multiple projects, prepare estimates, budgets and tender documents, and mentor junior staff.
The role offers a supportive environment with APC and CPD training opportunities, competitive salary (€55k-€75k), and flexible working options.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field; SCSI/RICS accreditation advantageous.
- Strong cost planning, estimating and commercial management across sectors with proven delivery.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Team player with self-motivation and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with current forms of contracts.
- High IT proficiency including Cubit and Excel.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the QS function on various projects to drive completion.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets and tender documents.
- Monitor project costs and cash flow to meet budgets.
- Navigate contractual matters, risk management and change control.
- Support and mentor junior quantity surveyors.
- Foster client relationships and deliver high-quality service.
