Job summary

Coffey, a leading civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our energy sector projects on a hybrid basis in Ireland. You will report to the Commercial Manager and oversee commercial and financial management across your project, including subcontractor management and cost control.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Quantity Surveying with 7+ years in civil engineering or design-and-build settings, strong analytics, and proficiency in contract administration.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying and 7+ years of civil engineering or large-scale infrastructure experience.
• Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills including cost estimation and control.
• Good knowledge of main contract conditions and contract administration.
• Experience with estimating tools such as Candy and IFS is desirable.
• SCSI Chartered status or progress toward Chartership is desirable, not essential.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full clean Irish/EU driving licence and work authorization for Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Lead subcontractor procurement, commercial management, valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Administer contracts, variations, claims and commercial agreements.
• Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with clients, design teams, partners and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, financial and company requirements.
