Job summary

Coffey is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Maynooth, Co.Kildare. You will manage subcontractors, oversee project costs, and deliver robust financial reporting to support commercial viability.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will lead end‑to‑end financial oversight, including estimating, cost control, and risk management on a high‑value civil project. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying; SCSI Chartership desirable but not essential.
• 3–5 years of experience in civil engineering/construction, large-scale infra or design-build.
• Strong knowledge of Candy Estimating System and IFS.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and project costs against budgets.
• Lead procurement and management of subcontractors and contract terms.
• Develop and maintain detailed commercial and financial reporting.
• Identify and manage project risks with mitigation strategies.
• Oversee contract administration, variations, claims and final accounts.
• Collaborate with client, partners and design team on financial objectives.
• Ensure financial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
