Job summary

Quinn Downes Group in Ireland is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage costings across a range of projects. You will assess subcontractor terms, prepare tenders, identify commercial risks and support monthly commercial reporting.

The ideal candidate has at least five years' experience, holds a certificate or diploma in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar, and can work independently as well as within a team. Driving licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a related role.
• Certificate or Diploma in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency and meet goals.
• Driving licence desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate subcontractors / contracts with emphasis on risk, program, terms & conditions, design responsibility, etc.
• Prepare tender risk analysis based on standard format and bill of quantities.
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Provide advice on contractual claims - analysing outcomes and forecast and report.
• Prepare and present monthly company reports at project or business review, per company formats and standards.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly commercial reports.
• Assist Estimation Department with preparation of estimates.
• Ensure client relationships are enhanced to maximise opportunities.
• Take off, price and track variations for submission to client.
• Take off, price and track tender returns in a timely manner.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will manage the costings in a wide range of projects. Main Responsibilities

• Evaluate the terms and conditions of sub-contractors / contracts with emphasis on risk, program, terms & conditions, design responsibility etc.

The Candidate
