Job summary

Jones Engineering, a leading engineering services company with over 130 years of experience, invites applications for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a mechanical background. Based in Collinstown, the role involves managing mechanical project budgets, pricing and commercial risk across mainland projects, with occasional travel to Germany.

The successful candidate will have a relevant third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, 6+ years post-qualification

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• Data Centre experience preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in an MEP role.
• Strong IT skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage full pricing and collation of Mechanical project budgets across mainland projects.
• Ensure contract obligations are complied with and advise construction team.
• Identify commercial risks and report to management.
• Prepare monthly progress applications with remeasurements, variations, day-works, or claims.
• Provide procurement support in conjunction with Procurement Department.
• Manage subcontractor accounts from award to interim valuation and final account.
• Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects.
• Review projects for accurate, reliable reporting.
• Build establish supply chain with European vendors/sub-contractors and analyse quotations.
• Work both independently and in a multi-functional team.
