Job summary

Version 1 is expanding its Quality Assurance team in Ireland. The QA Engineer will improve operational efficiency, capacity and customer experience through technology.

You will support QA activities, perform manual testing, and help build automated test suites across digital products. The role involves working with designers, developers, Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure quality, reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software quality assurance.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as Playwright, WDIO, Cypress or Appium.
• Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps and test management platforms such as TestRail or Zephyr.
• Experience performing API testing.
• Experience using Git and GitHub workflows.
• Experience with Azure cloud environments.
• Experience testing microservice-based architectures.
• Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Experience mentoring or supporting less experienced colleagues.
• Agile or DevOps certifications such as Scrum Master or Cloud Foundations.
• Experience delivering mobile test automation with Appium.

Responsibilities

• Apply QA processes, testing approaches and quality standards across projects.
• Develop and maintain test strategies and test plans aligned to project requirements.
• Perform manual testing and identify opportunities for automation.
• Create and maintain automated test suites across digital products.
• Prioritise testing activities based on business impact and risk.
• Support testing activities throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with designers, developers, Product Owners and business stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document quality-related processes, test approaches and outcomes.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and team development activities.
