Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Protocol Security Researcher based in Ireland to help build a robust internal security function within a globally distributed engineering environment. You will work at the intersection of smart contract security, protocol design, adversarial research, and AI-assisted security review.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security experience with smart contract and protocol security.
• Ability to review complex codebases and reason about protocol failures.
• Adversarial mindset capable of mapping suspicious activity to exploit scenarios.
• Understanding of DeFi mechanics: lending, oracles, collateral, governance.
• Experience using AI to enhance security research and reviews.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain risks to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review protocol and smart contract changes before audits or deployment.
• Conduct attacker-driven security research across contracts, protocols, and infrastructure.
• Influence security decisions in early architecture and design discussions.
• Investigate risks across assets, bridges, oracles, adapters, and dependencies.
• Translate findings into exploitation scenarios, impact, and mitigations.
• Develop and evaluate AI-assisted security tooling for review workflows.
• Convert findings into reusable security knowledge and tests.
• Collaborate with monitoring and incident response teams on detections.
• Coordinate with external auditors to define audit scope and focus areas.
