Job description

As RINA continues to grow and develop its presence in Ireland, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support our Rail and Infrastructure (Construction) Engineering Services team. This is a new, complex and multi-disciplinary role, which will be critical to the success of RINA's expansion in the region.

The scope of work is extremely broad, incorporating both a commercial element (i.e. supporting Business Development & bids/tenders) and full cycle project delivery: you will be a key player in supporting the delivery of Ireland's transport/rail infrastructure investment programme for the future. Typical projects will include Depot Assessments, Electrical Power Systems Design and Construction/Track design & delivery. You will also be accountable to manage additional projects for additional linear assets including roads and bridges.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to help shape RINA's strategic growth in Ireland, working closely with international teams and local stakeholders on high-profile infrastructure and mobility projects.

RINA is a hybrid working organisation, though this role will require the successful candidate to live within a commutable distance from Dublin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and drive the expansion of RINA Consulting's business in Infrastructure & Transport across Ireland, identifying new opportunities and building client relationships.
  • Manage the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of infrastructure and transport projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met.
  • Oversee both the quantitative aspects (budgets, schedules, resource allocation, KPIs) and qualitative aspects (technical quality, compliance, stakeholder satisfaction) of project delivery.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and partners, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support commercial activities including proposal development, tendering, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation actions.
  • Contribute to business development efforts with BD and BL teams by identifying new tender opportunities in the Irish infrastructure and transport sector.
  • Liaise with RINA's international network to leverage global expertise and best practices for local project delivery.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and updates for internal management and external clients.
Key Requirements
  • At least 10 years' of experience in Engineering Professional Services sector.
  • Demonstrable Project Management delivery track record in either Construction, Infrastructure or Transportation (i.e. Rail) domains.
  • Solid understanding of both quantitative (cost control, scheduling, reporting) and qualitative (technical assurance, stakeholder management) aspects of contract/project management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to support business development, client engagement activities and bids/tenders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Availability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required by project needs.
  • Degree in Civil/Infrastructure/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management is preferred.
  • Must be an Irish citizen, or have the right to work in Ireland without employer sponsorship. RINA will not support international relocation costs.
