Job summary

NexVentur group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major industrial/pharmaceutical mechanical services project in the Midlands. This is a hands-on site-based role overseeing mobilisation, procurement, construction and handover.

You will own programme delivery, technical coordination, commercial performance, QA/QC, HSE, and stakeholder management while coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers and site teams to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Management role within Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
• Third-level qualification (Level 7 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water, pumps, valves and controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical works from project start to handover.
• Develop project programmes, procurement schedules and commissioning plans.
• Coordinate site labour, engineering teams and subcontractors to milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement recovery measures.
• Plan site logistics, lifting operations and shutdown activities.
• Ensure installations meet contract specifications and approved designs.
• Manage RFIs, design clarifications and BIM coordination.
• Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, electrical and controls packages.
• Drive procurement, budgets, variations and subcontractor performance.
• Lead safety meetings and promote a culture of safety and quality.
