Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to deliver engineering projects while ensuring compliance with safety standards. You will work within a dynamic team and tackle exciting challenges in an ATEX-regulated environment.

Your role includes managing project schedules, coordinating cross-functional teams, and overseeing contractor installation. With a degree in engineering and relevant industry experience of 3-5 years, you will thrive in this fast-paced position.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the chemical, food and beverages industries.
• Experience with P&ID development activities and HAZOP/SIL reviews.
• Ability to control contractors during installation.

About this Position

As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll play a key part in delivering engineering projects across the region, ensuring they are aligned with safety standards and business goals. What you´ll do

• Working as part of the engineering team to ensure the smooth development & handover of systems from conception to commissioning and into sustaining operations.


• Preparing URS, scoping information for key discipline projects.


• Coordination of cross functional SME’s and engineering design consultants in project design phase, design risk and HAZOP assessments.


• Preparing and managing project schedules, CAPEX budgets.


• Project coordination, interfacing, and directing contractors during implementation


• Project management, safely managing and directing contractors during construction phase.


• Commissioning, ramp up and hand-over to operations.

What makes you a good fit

• A degree in Chemistry, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering


• 3–5 years of experience in within the chemical, food and beverages industrial sectors


• Strong mechanical and electrical background.


• Handled scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, and scope development as a Project Engineer.


• P&ID development activities, HAZOP/SIL reviews and supporting cost estimate activities.


• Control of contractors during installation.
