Job purpose: The Senior Programme Support Associate in IOM Dublin is responsible for providing specialized support and coordination across multiple projects and thematic areas. The role's purpose is to ensure the quality, compliance, and strategic growth of IOM's programmes in Ireland. This involves applying knowledge of programme management, migration issues, donor requirements, and results-based management. The associate will contribute to programme development, donor engagement, policy analysis, resource mobilization, and partnership-building, working closely with internal teams, government counterparts, donors, UN agencies, and CSOs to support the effective delivery and expansion of IOM's programme portfolio.
Responsibilities: Coordinate the implementation of IOM Ireland projects, ensuring adherence to policies, donor requirements, budgets, and timelines. Monitor and evaluate programme performance against targets, recommending corrective actions. Prepare and review donor reports, programme updates, and other documentation for accuracy and compliance. Manage programme data collection, analysis, and information management, maintaining records and promoting knowledge sharing. Analyze migration trends in Ireland to support programme planning and funding opportunities. Contribute to programme design, proposal development, and resource mobilization strategies. Maintain effective relationships with donors, government authorities, and implementing partners. Support communication materials, donor visits, and staff capacity-building. Participate in inter-agency forums and stakeholder meetings to strengthen partnerships and promote IOM priorities.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (International Relations, Development, Political/Social Sciences, Migration Studies, Law) with five years of experience, or a High School diploma with seven years of relevant professional experience. Accredited universities are recognized via the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Work experience: Required experience includes project development and management, humanitarian/migration activities, complex project implementation, budget drafting, research, report writing, and liaison with governments and international agencies. Experience with project planning, resource deployment, evaluation, donor relations, grant management, and working with diverse teams is essential. Familiarity with Results-Based Management is also required.
Skills: Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools and protocols. Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with attention to detail.
