Job summary

Byrne-Mech Ltd in Athenry is seeking a Senior Production Planner to coordinate production schedules and capacity planning across multiple manufacturing cells. You will ensure on-time delivery and collaborate with Operations, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to maintain smooth workflows.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in production planning, extensive ERP/MRP experience, and strong Excel skills. Byrne-Mech does not sponsor visas for this role, and candidates must reside in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production planning or scheduling role.
• Strong experience using ERP systems and MRP planning (essential).
• Experience within a small to medium manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proven ability to support or implement new planning processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules across multiple manufacturing cells using the company ERP system.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements and delivery timelines are met.
• Support the Operations Leadership Team in reviewing capacity, identifying constraints, and improving planning processes.
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvements and lead implementation initiatives.
• Determine and manage finished goods inventory levels, including pack sizes and safety stock requirements.
• Coordinate delivery commitments for sales orders based on material availability and production capacity.
• Work closely with Production teams to execute daily and weekly production plans.
• Monitor schedule performance and adjust plans as required to maintain operational efficiency.
