Job summary

Matrix Recruitment Group is sourcing a Production Planner for a fixed-term contract in Co. Westmeath. The role supports a 24/7 manufacturing operation, joining a collaborative planning and production team on-site.

The position is a 2-year fixed-term contract with potential to transition to permanent. The candidate will develop and maintain master production schedules, optimise changeovers, and coordinate with procurement to ensure material flow and KPI targets are met.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years' production planning experience in continuous process manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Infor; MES/APS experience is an advantage.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master production schedules for all production lines and participate in daily planning meetings to co-ordinate production plans.
• Translate forecasts and orders into feasible schedules, managing changeovers, run non-standard products, and minimising downtime.
• Balance materials, equipment, and labour availability, adjusting plans for unplanned events and maintaining high on-time delivery.
• Liaise with Procurement to ensure timely material flow, monitor inventory levels, and provide proactive customer updates.
• Track KPIs to ensure production schedules and targets are met.

This job offers the chance to play a key part in a busy 24/7 operation. You'll join a well-established team working closely across planning and production functions.
