Job summary

Intel Ireland is seeking a Process/Equipment Engineer to join our advanced technology fab. You will own and improve semiconductor process performance, drive optimization, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and automate processes.

The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, safety, and operational excellence. You will work on leading-edge technology nodes, mentoring engineers, and supporting ramp and change management across the fab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high- tech manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in deposition, lithography, etching, ion implantation, annealing, or chemical mechanical planarization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Experience in process troubleshooting, process control, and continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and collaboration across engineering and operations teams.
• Demonstrated focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Preferred: PhD, post-doc, advanced process integration, automation knowledge, and data automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve process performance within your module or area.
• Support development, qualification, and transfer of new process/automation technologies into high-volume manufacturing.
• Drive process optimization to hit safety, quality, yield, output, and cost targets.
• Use statistics and data analytics to identify root causes and reduce variability.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex process issues with equipment, manufacturing, quality, and module engineering teams.
• Drive defect reduction, yield improvement, and process matching across tools and work centres.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and share best practices.
• Support ramp, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives across the fab.
