Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for a permanent, on-site role in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians in a highly automated manufacturing environment, driving process improvements and troubleshooting complex equipment.

Strong leadership, Six Sigma and Lean experience are essential. The role focuses on improving equipment performance, reducing downtime and delivering robust production handover for new processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years' Process Engineering experience with people management.
• Experience with high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with precision mechanical setup and equipment optimisation.
• Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles including Standard Work and TPM.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians supporting production and maintenance activities.

• Use data-driven and structured problem-solving techniques to investigate and resolve process issues.

Senior Process Engineer

A leading medical device manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join its high-volume, fully automated manufacturing operation in Dun Laoghaire.

This is a hands‑on engineering leadership role within the Assembly function, responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians while providing technical support to production and maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving equipment performance, resolving process issues and driving continuous improvement across a highly automated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians supporting production and maintenance activities.

• Provide hands‑on technical support and troubleshooting for high-speed automated equipment.

• Use data‑driven and structured problem‑solving techniques to investigate and resolve process issues.

• Drive improvements in equipment efficiency, process capability, uptime and overall performance.

• Optimise equipment setup and standardise processes across the manufacturing area.

• Review and improve preventative maintenance strategies to reduce equipment failures and downtime.

• Work closely with equipment and material suppliers to ensure process and machine capability.

• Support the introduction of new equipment and processes, including establishing robust process windows and production handover.

• Lead QN, customer complaint and CAPA investigations.

• Manage change control activities and ensure appropriate documentation and approvals are completed.

• Develop and train technicians within the process engineering team.

• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

• Set objectives and support performance management and development of direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

• 7+ years' Process Engineering experience, including people management.

• Strong experience working with high-speed automated manufacturing equipment.

• Hands‑on experience with precision mechanical setup and equipment optimisation.

• Strong data analysis and structured problem‑solving skills.

• Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent problem‑solving methodologies.

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including Standard Work and TPM.

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

• Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with equipment validation and associated documentation would be beneficial.
