Job summary

Mastercard Foundry R&D in Dublin Tech Hub seeks a Senior Principal, Software Engineering to lead architectural decisions and complex software delivery. You will influence design, development, testing, deployment, and operational excellence across enterprise-scale systems, partnering with business, product, and technology stakeholders to shape scalable, secure solutions.

You will drive automation, code quality, and system reliability while mentoring engineers and advancing engineering

Qualifications

Proven experience designing, developing, and delivering complex software solutions across large-scale, distributed, secure, and resilient systems.
Ability to lead architectural decisions and drive software engineering standards across multiple teams.
Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, automation, observability, reliability, and performance engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of complex software solutions spanning multiple services or programs, aligning with business needs and standards.
Translate requirements into scalable, secure software designs and scalable architectures.
Drive automation across build, deployment, testing, observability, and operational workflows to improve reliability and delivery speed.
Collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering teams to shape roadmaps and technology directions.
