Job summary

ACCPRO is seeking a Forward Trading Lead in Ireland to shape and deliver its forward trading and hedging strategy across the Irish power portfolio. This senior role combines trading, analytics and commercial judgement to optimise portfolio performance and manage market risk.

You will lead a three-person team, influence trading strategy, market analysis, and governance while ensuring compliance with EMIR, REMIT and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in power trading, forward hedging or related analytics.
• Strong SEM/I-SEM knowledge and energy market economics.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders on trading decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead hedging strategy development for the Irish power portfolio and optimize hedge timing.
• Monitor positions, manage credit and liquidity risks, and provide recommendations.
• Own Energy Trade Risk Management framework including data quality and governance.
• Ensure EMIR, REMIT compliance and alignment with PPA and Guarantees of Origin rules.
• Lead market analysis, price forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Develop scenarios and translate market data into actionable insights.
• Oversee pricing models for I-SEM and GB and deliver price forecasts.
• Lead outages and capacity-market analysis and secondary trading strategies.
• Coach a three-person team and drive trading process improvements.
