Job summary

DoiT is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our remote engineering teams, delivering foundational software and services for the product with a focus on scalability and security. This individual contributor role emphasizes hands-on work with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on coding experience.
• 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform.
• Experience building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure with emphasis on automation.
• Proficiency in Go or TypeScript (or similar languages).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD or Atlantis.
• Understanding of networking concepts.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
• Excellent communication in English.
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
• Ability to work in remote/distributed teams.
• Prior experience on platform engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Function as an individual contributor within the team, collaborating with peers and feature teams to adopt platform features.
• Architect, design, and implement infrastructure as code (Terraform) with reusable modules and tests.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS).
• Develop and refine internal CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems (Argo/CD, Atlantis).
• Diagnose and resolve platform-related issues, monitor performance, and improve security posture.
• Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
• Act as a strategic partner to development teams to address infrastructure needs and roadmap features.
• Contribute to the development of internal platform products and services, enhancing developer productivity.
• Implement and enforce security best practices and SOC 2 / GDPR compliance.
