Job summary

DoiT is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our remote engineering teams, delivering foundational software and services for the product with a focus on scalability and security. This individual contributor role emphasizes hands-on work with GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

You will design, implement, and automate platform components, deploy and manage clusters, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with feature teams to understand infrastructure needs while maintaining high

Qualifications

Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on coding experience.
6+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related roles.
Hands-on experience with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform.
Experience building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure with emphasis on automation.
Proficiency in Go or TypeScript (or similar languages).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Argo CD or Atlantis.
Understanding of networking concepts.
Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments.
Excellent communication in English.
Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated.
Ability to work in remote/distributed teams.
Prior experience on platform engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Function as an individual contributor within the team, collaborating with peers and feature teams to adopt platform features.
Architect, design, and implement infrastructure as code (Terraform) with reusable modules and tests.
Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS).
Develop and refine internal CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems (Argo/CD, Atlantis).
Diagnose and resolve platform-related issues, monitor performance, and improve security posture.
Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
Act as a strategic partner to development teams to address infrastructure needs and roadmap features.
Contribute to the development of internal platform products and services, enhancing developer productivity.
Implement and enforce security best practices and SOC 2 / GDPR compliance.
