Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a high-performance Platform Engineering team responsible for a global Kubernetes platform. You will design, operate, and evolve 60-70 production clusters across AWS, Azure, and GCP, delivering scalable and secure infrastructure at cloud scale.

The role emphasizes automation, reliability, and governance, with emphasis on Kubernetes production experience, Terraform, Helm/ArgoFlux, and GitOps practices across a fast-growing cloud estate.

Qualifications

• Production Kubernetes experience across large-scale clusters.
• Strong Linux systems engineering background.
• Experience with Terraform and IaC.
• Familiarity with Helm, FluxCD, ArgoCD and GitOps.
• Knowledge of containers, virtualization, networking.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and observability (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Manage Kubernetes clusters at scale including upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform.
• Support cloud-native workloads across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
• Drive platform reliability, observability, monitoring, and performance improvements.
• Contribute to vulnerability management, automation, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure infrastructure.
