Job summary

Grafana Labs is hiring an engineer for the new Foundation's “Metal” squad to build and provision resources including storage, networking and Kubernetes clusters in new environments.

The role focuses on operating your code, working with distributed systems, and maintaining a Kubernetes-centric platform in a remote-first, worldwide team. Compensation is €81,600–€97,920 in Ireland, with RSUs and global growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Datacenter experience.
• Experience with operating and maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Ability to work in a remote-first, distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Manage our physical “Metal” environment from bare metal to Kubernetes.
• Manage cluster networking components: load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, cross-cluster communication, routing protocols, architecture.
• Manage scheduling and autoscaling.
• Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for CSP resources common to our users, and manage versions/compatibility for Crossplane and Terraform.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud application teams to understand needs and invest in capabilities.
