Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to drive architecture and implementation of cloud and hybrid data solutions for an internal platform. You will deploy and maintain vast infrastructure with IaC tools, integrate new technologies, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and managers to keep advancing cloud efforts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in production engineering & deployment, release, maintenance.
• 8+ years coding in Python, Golang, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• 5+ years in large-scale production infra with AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Experience with cybersecurity platforms like Splunk, Sentinel, ELK.
• Proficient in IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, AWS CDK.
• CI/CD expertise with Jenkins, Harness, Spinnaker, Argo CD.
• Proven Linux fundamentals and network knowledge.
• Strong ownership and cross-team leadership.
• Observability tools experience: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog.
• Security principles for cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud & hybrid infrastructure across cloud providers and on-prem locations with multi-region HA & DR.
• Automate toil and design it out; participate in Site Reliability Engineering practices.
• Mentor Platform Engineers and lead knowledge sharing sessions.
• Scale systems with automation; drive reliability and velocity improvements.
• Develop software tools for deployment, monitoring, alerting and operations automation.
• Own platform implementation end-to-end with user-focused perspective.
• Maintain live services by monitoring availability, latency, and performance.
• Define next-generation data analytics tooling for petabyte-scale systems.
• Collaborate across teams in a dynamic, consultative environment.
