Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a Senior Software Development Engineer to build high-performance API services that secure and protect API traffic. You will work on large-scale distributed cloud systems with a focus on Java backend development and scalable architectures.

You will collaborate in a remote-friendly Agile environment, mentor teammates, and contribute to DevOps practices, testing, and operations to deliver reliable, secure services powering customer applications.

Qualifications

4+ years in software, architecture, and delivering scalable services.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with microservices, distributed systems, and cloud technologies.
Proficiency in Java or a similar modern programming language.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with DevOps, releases, and operations.

Responsibilities

Translate business requirements into technical specifications with product teams.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot scalable, customer-facing cloud services.
Automate tasks to enable continuous delivery and availability.
