Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to build high‑performing API services that secure and protect OCI traffic. You will partner with product leaders to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions and mentor junior engineers in a collaborative, remote, and agile environment.

You should have 4+ years in software, strong back‑end Java or similar, and experience with microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in the software industry with architecture and scalable services.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience across full product lifecycle including design, coding and operations.
• Strong back-end development in Java or similar language.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical specifications with product leaders.
• Design, develop and troubleshoot scalable cloud services.
• Automate tasks to enable continuous delivery and high availability.
• Drive scalable, forward-thinking solutions and deliver on time.
• Maintain development and production infrastructure with an engineering focus.

• Contribute to product roadmaps by scoping work with stakeholders.
