Job summary

Asset Recruitment is seeking a Senior Planning Engineer – Construction Phase for a leading global EPCM company delivering projects across Ireland. The role requires extensive planning and scheduling experience within industrial projects.

You will lead a team of planners, manage interfaces with subcontractors, and coordinate with design and construction teams. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and earned value management is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project planning/scheduling.
• Strong Industrial background.
• Experience leading a team of planners.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering deliverables and drawings.
• Understanding of broader project controls functions, including contracting interfaces.
• Experience with Primavera P6 in a multi-user environment.
• Experience managing interfaces with subcontractors.
• Ability to establish earned value management (EVM) progress reporting systems.
• Advanced computer skills: Primavera P6, MS Project, MS Office.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with Last Planner interfacing.
• Ability to chair and facilitate planning/coordination meetings.
• Good understanding of design deliverables and subcontract mobilisation.

Senior Planning Engineer – Construction Phase

Our client is a leading global EPCM company with worldwide operations and projects across Ireland. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer – Construction Phase to join their team.

To be successful in this role, candidates should have:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project planning/scheduling
• Strong Industrial background
• Proven experience leading a team of planners and working within integrated planning teams
• Strong technical capability, with the ability to read and interpret engineering deliverables and drawings
• Solid understanding of broader project controls functions, including contracting interfaces (tender milestones, contract milestones, extensions of time evaluations)
• Previous experience working in a multi-user Primavera P6 environment
• Experience managing interfaces with subcontractors
• The ability to establish and maintain earned value management (EVM) progress reporting systems
• Advanced computer skills, including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with Last Planner interfacing
• The ability to chair and facilitate interactive planning and coordination meetings
