Job summary

Mane Contract Services is seeking a Senior Planner in Dublin, Ireland to manage detailed project programmes across pre-construction, construction and commissioning. You will develop and maintain detailed programmes, monitor progress and provide clear reporting to project leadership.

You will also have the opportunity to take a lead role within the planning function, supporting and mentoring other planners and stepping into Planning Manager responsibilities when required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years planning experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel and EVMS.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
• Ability to develop programmes from drawings, models, scopes of work and project information.
• Proven ability to independently manage planning for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Managing planning activities across projects or a portfolio of projects.
• Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
• Managing pre-construction, construction and commissioning programmes.
• Monitoring progress, productivity and schedule performance.
• Carrying out milestone projections and delay / float path analysis.
• Applying Earned Value Management techniques.
• Auditing and validating progress on site.
• Leading planning and schedule meetings.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and project teams.
• Preparing tender programmes and schedules.
• Producing histograms and resource-loaded programmes.
• Supporting weekly workface planning.
• Resource and cash loading of schedules.
• Providing planning data for payment applications.
• Recording delay and disruption.
• Supporting claims and contractual dispute preparation.
• Producing contract review reports and progress reports.
• Identifying programme risks and recommending solutions.
• Ensuring the quality and accuracy of schedules and reports.
• Supporting, coaching and developing junior planning staff.
• Covering Planning Manager and Project Planner responsibilities when required.

The Role:

What We're Looking For:

• 5+ years' planning experience on large-scale construction projects
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel and Earned Value Management
• Excellent understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
• Ability to develop programmes from drawings, models, scopes of work and project information
• Proven ability to independently manage planning for large-scale projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organised, motivated and able to work to strict deadlines
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider project team
