Qualifications

  • CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Minimum 5 years of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy experience.
  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy (desirable).
  • Strong clinical knowledge in MSK, spinal, sports, chronic pain, and rheumatology.
  • Experience or training in Spinal Triage, Strength & Conditioning, Pilates, Vestibular Rehab, Dry Needling/Acupuncture, or Biomechanical Orthotics (desirable).
  • Clinical reasoning, assessment, treatment planning, goal setting and outcome evaluation.
  • Accurate clinical documentation and adherence to protocols with evidence-based practice.
  • BLS certification or willingness to complete in-house training.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and leadership skills; able to work independently and supervise others.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety compliance by promoting a safe working environment and monitoring equipment safety.
  • Participate in on-call service and provide cross-cover for inpatient services as required.
  • Utilise clinical information systems to support patient care, audit, data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in resource management including equipment, consumables and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilise clinical information systems and IT applications to support patient care, audit, data analysis, reporting, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Assist in the effective management of departmental resources, including equipment, consumables, and budgets, while supporting efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
Requirements
  • Be registered with CORU as a Physiotherapist.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
  • Hold a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification (desirable).
  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and evidence-based practice in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal, spinal, sports, chronic pain, and rheumatological conditions.
  • Have experience or training in Spinal Triage Services, Strength & Conditioning, Pilates, Vestibular Rehabilitation, Dry Needling/Acupuncture, or Biomechanical Assessment for Orthotics (desirable).
  • Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning, effective assessment skills, treatment planning, goal setting, outcome evaluation, and appropriate patient referral practices.
  • Possess knowledge of wound healing, fracture and tendon healing, motor control, movement patterns, post-operative rehabilitation protocols, and the identification of Red Flags and Yellow Flags.
  • Be proficient in maintaining accurate clinical documentation, adhering to departmental protocols, and using evidence-based assessment and treatment approaches.
  • Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or be willing to complete mandatory in-house training, while demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently, manage a busy caseload, supervise others, and deliver compassionate, patient-centred care.
