Job summary

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is looking for a Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist in Dundalk, Ireland. The successful candidate will provide advanced assessment and clinical treatment to patients with diverse musculoskeletal conditions in a busy, supportive environment.

Medforce Healthcare Recruitment is currently recruiting a Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy Department in an Acute setting based in Dundalk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to work within a busy and supportive service, providing specialist assessment and treatment to patients presenting with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based interventions while supporting service development and promoting best practice in musculoskeletal care.

The Role

As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will:

• Provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions
• Manage a varied caseload including acute, chronic, post-operative, and complex MSK presentations
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based practice
• Deliver exercise prescription, rehabilitation programmes, and patient education
• Support early intervention and self-management strategies
• Work collaboratively with consultants, GPs, nurses, and other allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports in line with professional standards
• Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide supervision, support, and mentorship to junior staff and students where required

Requirements for the Senior Physiotherapist

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
• CORU registration
• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification physiotherapy experience
• Significant experience managing musculoskeletal caseloads
• Excellent clinical reasoning, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working at Senior Physiotherapist level
• Experience within hospital, outpatient, or primary care MSK services
• Training in advanced musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation
• Experience supervising staff or students
